"ASADA outlined the process for the investigation to continue, including interviews with players to determine if a prohibited substance had been administered,'' Essendon chairman David Evans said.
ASADA and the AFL's integrity unit are investigating the Bombers over their supplement program.
The Bombers have also been named in an Australian Crime Commission (ACC) investigation which found suspected performance-enhancing drug use by their players, possibly without their knowledge.
The AFL will this week start strengthening its integrity unit, in response to the ACC findings.
Two part-time members of the unit will go full-time and a new full-time employee will start work.
More staff will be added in coming weeks.peThe AFL will meet with all 18 clubs over the next 10 days to brief them on the crime commission findings and their response.
