Dubious ... Ed Cowan falls LBW to Bhuv Kumar in Hyderabad. Source: Gregg Porteous / News Limited
Australia opener Ed Cowan has copped a dubious LBW decision against India in Hyderabad.
The Tasmanian had scored four runs before being trapped in front by impressive India paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The ball looked to be heading for off stump and umpire Marais Erasmus took his time before raising the finger to the delight of the Indians.
However, replays appeared to show the ball pitching outside leg stump.
Watch the video at the top of the page and decide if Cowan was unlucky or not.
It is the latest in controversial decisions as the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) continues to oppose the use of the Decision Review System (DRS).
The wicket triggered another Australia top order collapse, which saw the team 4-83 at lunch.
David Warner (six) had earlier fallen to a vicious Kumar ball, that nipped back at him and took an inside edge onto leg stump. Shane Watson was at his attacking best, making 23 before being undone by some uneven bounce.
On a greenish pitch that had been showing signs of movement off the seam and in the air, a Kumar delivery nicked back and kept low, trapping Watson in front.
First Test destroyer Ravi Ashwin was introduced after the 11th over and had four maidens from his first four overs.
He troubled Phil Hughes and finally got his man, caught behind for 19.
India captain MS Dhoni juggled the edge but regathered with a dive to leave Australia reeling at 4-63.
