WEARING yellow jerseys and with Josh McCrone restored to the starting line-up the Raiders had a new look about them on Sunday afternoon and the changes worked.

McCrone had an excellent game as Canberra put on a dazzling second half display to thump a toothless Cowboys outfit 42-12.

The Cowboys clearly struggled to overcome the losses to Origin of Johnathan Thurston, Matt Scott and James Tamou, and were clunky in attack.

The Raiders weren't much better to start the game but as they started to make inroads, their confidence grew.

Jack Wighton, back in his favoured centre position scored an early double before party time started in the second half - Jarrad Kennedy, Reece Robinson, man of the match Jarrod Croker and Anthony Milford all getting over the line as the Raiders thrilled their home crowd for the first time in over a month.
