Parramatta say they are embarking on a new era as they attempt to put two seasons of NRL misery behind them. The back-to-back wooden spooners have a new chief executive, in Scott Seward, a new coach in Brad Arthur, and a new look line-up captain Tim Mannah insists is ready to put the past behind them. On Tuesday the Eels launched their new look jerseys for the 2014, heralding a return, by popular demand, of their yellow away strip - the jersey synonymous with the Eels' first premiership in 1981.
With new signings including Will Hopoate, Corey Norman, Justin Hunt, Lee Mossop and Nathan Peats joining the Eels in 2014, Mannah says it is a chance to begin anew.
"There's a real fresh feeling around the place and everyone has a spring in their step ... there is a real buzz here," Mannah said. "It's only been a couple of weeks we have been back but we are really enjoying it.

"When you have had the kind of season we just had it is nice to be able to enjoy your footy again and we are enjoying coming to training and we are enjoying looking forward to the new season." After two disjointed seasons under coaches Stephen Kearney and Ricky Stuart, Mannah said former Eels and Manly assistant Arthur has been an important addition.
"He has got everyone excited about their football and everyone is really pushing themselves," Mannah said.
"We don't want to focus on what has happened in the past.
"We are really emphasising the need to look forward and not to get caught up in what happened last season.
"It's a big year, here are lot of fresh faces here. It's a new journey for us."
