Borderline ... was James Horwill lucky to escape punishment? Source: Dave Hunt / AAP

Wallabies captain James Horwill may be counting himself a little lucky after an apparent stomp went unnoticed in Queensland Reds' 19-all draw with the Brumbies.

Dan Palmer was on the receiving end of Horwill's errant boot, the Brumbies prop finding himself at the bottom of a Reds maul as they drove up field following a lineout win.

With the Reds rolling forward up front Horwill appeared to collect Palmer with his right boot in plain sight of the assistant referee, just 11 minutes into the match.

But with the Brumbies frontrower springing straight back to his feet and none of his teammates appealing, the officials saw no need to stop play or call for the TMO – as has been the case on several occasions this season.

Horwill wasn't cited following the match either, clearly showing the officials either missed the action or were happy there were no signs of foul play.

Did Horwill have a case to answer? Watch the video at the top of the page and make your own mind up!
